I called my friend this morning to chat up about something, but surprisingly she was at home.

Normally she should be at work, yeah? Yes!

So I asked her if she was on vacation and she said No!

*"I was sacked three days ago,"* she replied.

I could literarily hear the devastation in her voice.

I proceeded to cheer her up and suggested ways for her to lift herself back up.
