Enoch Adeboye"My messages are not for everybody"
The
clergyman advised doubters to pray for a direct interaction with God,
as this could provide a foolproof message concerning issues related to
them.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has given what seems like a response to critics who have an issue with his marriage counseling comment.
Adeboye,
during the recently held convention at the RCCG camp ground had advised
young men not to marry a woman with a poor culinary skill, or one who
cannot pray for at least an hour.
These comments had sparked reaction from the public who feel that the clergyman's opinion is not applicable to them.
One of those who reacted to Adeboye's advice is Nigerian R&B singer, Banky W, who mentioned that he does not mind taking up kitchen duties for his wife as he enjoys cooking.
The
widely loved preacher has however explained that his opinion is not
tailored to everyone, observing that a direct interaction with God is
the ultimate means of getting spiritual insights.
This was contained in his Twitter comment posted on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, where he wrote, "My messages are not for everybody. So I plead with you, ask God to speak to you specifically."
Pastor Enoch Adeboye is regarded as one of the world most revered spiritual leaders.
His RCCG ministry, which was founded by Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi (1909–1980), has become a household name spanning a period of 64 years.
