Overcome the fear of death with God's help

John 11:25 - "Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die." (NIV)

For a lot of people, dying is quite scary, especially when they feel like they have not accomplished a lot.

However, Psalm 39:4 says; "Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am."

Fear of dying should motivate you to live right

This Scripture reference urges Christians to overcome the fear of death by changing the way they see it.

According to this passage, the thought of dying should be a daily reminder to focus on our humanity.

Doing this keeps us humble and enables to try to do as much good as we possibly can, while looking up to God, the giver and taker of life.

Psalm 90:12 says; "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" (NKJV).

The fear of death should not crippling, rather it should motivate us to live with wisdom, knowing how easily it could be taken.

Also, the fear of death can easily be conquered by remembering that dying takes you back home to the Father.

Philippians 1:23; "I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better" (NKJV)

Knowing this makes you motivated to live a Godly life.

In conclusion, dying is not a bad or scary thing, rather it is a one-way ticket to Heaven, our birthright, as believers.
