All is set for the graduation of the first set of over 40 students from the SLOT Academy. The Academy, which is the brain child of Slot Foundation, is a CSR initiative aimed at providing technical skills and creating jobs for Nigerians. Confirming this development, the Chairman of Slot Foundation, who also doubles as the Managing Director of Slot, Engr Nnamdi Ezeigbo, said “Assessing the outgrowing need for skills and empowerment, we decided on setting up a proper technical school where Nigerians will be provided with quality technical skills that will further enrich their lives”.  Continuing he noted “SLOT ACADEMY

Recall that Slot Foundation whose slogan is “Touching Lives..…Raising People”, is primarily to help budding Entrepreneurs and promote locally made Nigeria products that would create jobs and promote local content. However, it would promote the importance of vocational training and fostering creativity and employment for the Nigerian youth.

This development, according to industry watchers, is another first from SLOT.
According the Head of Marketing at SLOT, Jonathan Uzomba “this is in line with underlying principle and philosophy of SLOT to add value to people’s lives especially as it is coming on the heels of various services unveiled by SLOT recently which include- ‘Free Screen Warranty’, ‘The SLOT Trade-In’slot.ng (the Slot Online Stores) and the unveiling of D’banj as a SLOT brand ambassador” – a trail blazer according to industry watchers. Concluding Uzomba noted that “as an indigenous company, Slot doesn’t just sell phones, the company provides first class after sales support that is incomparable in any Western African sub region. Over the years, SLOT has been the
first to announce new phones, new functions, features, and upgrades in the land”.
